Staples Street Improvements
LNV provided engineering services for the proposed improvements on Staples Street, Brawner to Barracuda (Phase 1) and Barracuda to Gollihar (Phase 2). The project consisted of the complete roadway reconstruction of 4,500 linear feet of the five lane urban arterial street including two travel lanes in each direction and a continuous left turn center lane. The reconstruction included a redesigned pavement section based on current traffic counts and loads. Other improvements included curb and gutter, sidewalks, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) curb ramps, lane striping/pavement markings, and street lighting (by AEP). As part of this project, public utilities (storm water, water, wastewater, and gas) were also be rehabilitated or replaced to meet the City's current Utility Master Plans.
