Sunset Road Phase II, Teak Lane to Broadway

This project was a Local Agency Managed (LAM) project for the City of San Antonio (COSA) in accordance with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) guidelines for LAM process. This Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) project involved the development of plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) for the rehabilitation and widening of Sunset Road from Teak Lane to Broadway, approximately 0.5 miles. This project required design of roadway, storm drain, water, and wastewater. The design for the roadway involved preparation of plans for reconstructing and widening the roadway to 46 feet, along the proposed profile, including: pavement, sidewalks, curbs, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements. The design for the drainage involved preparation of plans for improving and extending the storm drain system in accordance with the TxDOT design manual. The design for the water and wastewater involved preparation of plans for relocating the water line and replacing the sanitary sewer line in accordance with San Antonio Water System (SAWS) design standards. The project also required coordination with other utility companies such as CPS Energy joint-bid gas relocations, Time Warner, and AT&T. LNV also provided surveying services included topographic surveying and right-of-way staking. LNV provided standard construction phase services.
