NAS Kingsville - Repairs to Building 1716 Base Chapel

LNV was the general contractor for the reconstruction of the Naval Air Station Kingsville Base Chapel, Building 1716. The project included demolition of the Base Chapel structure, down to the floor slab, and reconstruction of the Chapel providing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance and a new covered entry. The work included all related Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical items requirements to complete and have a usable facility. Site work included reconfiguration of an existing sidewalk and transplanting existing exterior landscaping elements. The structural system consisted of pre-engineered metal building rigid frames with related foundations and secondary roof framing. The roof consisted of architectural standing seam metal roof panels over R-30 rigid studs with R-19 batt insulation, gypsum sheathing, and an exterior insulation and simulated stack stone finish.
